Significant mixed clear and rime ice accretion on the visual ice indicator placed between the cockpit windshields of A319 CS-TTA while descending to Copenhagen. This indicates ice build up on the airframe triggering the pilots to switch on the wing anti-ice system.

ReplyDeleteHello nurfdlah. There is an integral light inside the indicator however it is not very effective. We usually revert to using the cockpit flashlights to get a good look at it while flying at night in icing conditions.
