Stuff of Poetry

 Rather than described, which is best left to poets, philosophers and superior writers such as Gann or St. Exupery, the sensation of flight needs to be experienced. The flightdeck is a special place where the sound of the high speed slipstream is backgrounded by the comforting hum of the engines and radio transmissions; where the endless shifting of digital parameters such as indicated altitude, engine oil pressure, precooler outlet temperature,  ground speed, generator output, EGT, hydraulic pressure, fuel flow and many more reveal the dynamic nature of an apparently near-static environment and where amazing sights are seen by few and forever gone. A characteristic tranquility unavailable at ground level is found here and every now and again a moment of awsomeness presents itself in which you find yourself contemplating the achieved; this pic is one of those moments.
