A319 CS-TTQ at FL380 from Funchal to Lisbon with zero passengers on board. This enables a rare opportunity to fly with an open cockpit door. Its the night before new year's eve and typically flights are fully booked to Funchal for the celebrations and empty flying out. During the first days of 2013 it will be the other way around.

Why do planes fly with no passengers in it? Is it because there are passengers booked to the return flight?
