Surf's Up

 
Posted by Picasa Surfing a lenticular cloud at FL330 enroute from Madrid to Lisbon in A319 CS-TTG. These clouds require strong winds across mountainous terrain to form and are therefore quite dynamic; however since they continuously form at the leading edge and dissipate at the trailing edge, they appear to be stationary in relation to the ground.
